Triple H Confirms Pat McAfee’s Return at WWE PLE
Pat McAfee is officially returning to WWE for the upcoming Wrestlepalooza premium live event on September 20th, as confirmed by Triple H during a SportsCenter appearance promoting WWE’s new partnership with ESPN. The event marks WWE’s first Premium Live Event on ESPN’s streaming service, following the company’s recent news officially announcing Wrestlepalooza being added to their upcoming calendar.
Hosted in McAfee’s hometown of Indianapolis, Wrestlepalooza will be McAfee’s first WWE appearance since stepping away from commentary earlier this year. While Triple H didn’t reveal what role McAfee will play at the show, fans can expect fireworks when the Pat McAfee Show host finally returns to WWE programming.
Why did Pat McAfee leave WWE?
McAfee left WWE commentary back in June, citing burnout from his demanding schedule, which included hosting The Pat McAfee Show daily and preparing for his College GameDay role with ESPN. His exit made way for Corey Graves to join Michael Cole on commentary, but now, fans finally have their answer to whether Pat McAfee is coming back to WWE, as it's now been confirmed by WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul Levesque.
