Opening the show, the WWE paid tribute to The Immortal Hulk Hogan, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this week at 71. The locker room cleared as WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H delivered a video package of The Hulkster in front of the live audience, followed by a 10-bell salute.

Later in the night, Cody Rhodes made his intentions crystal clear: he doesn’t just want to beat John Cena, he wants to face the real John Cena in their upcoming Street Fight at SummerSlam for The Undisputed WWE Championship.
