Jey Uso Busted Open During Wrestlepalooza Match

WWE Superstar Jey Uso is recovering after sustaining a head injury during his tag team match at last weekend's Wrestlepalooza. Uso teamed with his brother Jimmy USO against Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed when an accidental chair shot left him cut. He shared an image on his Instagram Story showing the visible cut and a blood-stained towel with the caption, “I'm good.”

The match concluded with Breakker spearing both Usos through a table before Reed secured the pinfall with his “Tsunami” splash. Following the match, Jey Uso was evaluated by medical personnel and placed into WWE’s concussion protocol, meaning he must be medically cleared before returning to in-ring competition.

The injury was a result of an unfortunate in-ring accident. Wrestling Observer’s Bryan Alvarez explained the situation, “Jey busted himself open. He hit Bron with the chair, and it bounced off Bron’s back and split him six ways from Sunday. He’s in concussion protocol, which is a requirement after any injury like this.”

Jey Uso will remain in WWE’s concussion protocol while he recovers from his injury. His timeline for returning to action hasn’t been announced, but WWE’s medical team will monitor his progress as we await an official announcement.
