The Meaning Behind The Bloodline’s MFTs

Solo Sikoa has been carving out his own legacy on WWE SmackDown, and now he’s put a name on the crew he’s building around him: MFT’s. First revealed on the July 4, 2025, episode of SmackDown, where Sikoa declared that his was more than a bloodline, but his “My Family Tree.”

My Family Tree ties directly into the themes that have defined The Bloodline since day one: family loyalty, heritage, and dominance. At the same time, it gives WWE something new to market, as merch with the phrase is already hitting shelves. The MFT branding shows that Solo isn’t just continuing The Bloodline story — he’s reshaping it in his image.

WWE’s My Family Tree Faction

The lineup under the MFT banner currently features Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, Talla Tonga, and JC Mateo. Together, they form Solo’s version of The Bloodline, the next branch of the dynasty, and one that’s being presented as meaner, hungrier, and less polished than Roman Reigns’ era.

Of course, plenty of jokes have already popped up online about the name. Some have dubbed the group “Mother F***ing Tongans,” which WWE obviously won’t acknowledge (pun intended), but probably isn’t mad about either; controversy and memes only make the branding stick harder.

Love them or hate them, MFT is here to stay. For Solo, it’s the stamp on his rise as the Bloodlines’ new centrepiece. For WWE, it’s the next evolution of their biggest modern storyline — one that will keep fueling SmackDown and the wider WWE Universe cycle for years.
