WWE Trademarks “Los Americanos” Faction Name

WWE has filed a trademark for “Los Americanos,” unofficially confirming the name for the new masked faction seen on WWE Raw in recent weeks. The group features Ludwig Kaiser as El Grande Americano, alongside mystery accomplices revealed to be former NXT UK Champions Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate. The trademark filing covers a broad range of entertainment services, signalling WWE’s intent to double down on the faction with future storylines.
“Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibitions and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer rendered live and through broadcast media including television and radio, and via the internet or commercial online service.”
The formation of Los Americanos marks a new chapter for the El Grande Americano character, originally portrayed by Chad Gable before a shoulder injury led to Ludwig Kaiser taking over the role. The Americano gimmick has gone on to be an unexpected success, even with WWE's crossover audience with the AAA Lucha Libre and the record-breaking numbers those shows have been seeing since being under the WWE umbrella.
Pete Dunne and Tyler Bate Reintroduction to the WWE Main Roster
With Dunne and Bate now confirmed as part of Los Americanos, the former NXT UK stars return to in-ring competition after previously being part of the New Catch Republic tag team. While Dunne has spent recent months working as a backstage producer for AAA, this faction offers a fresh on-screen platform to reintroduce both talents to the main roster and engage them in active storylines.
