Full Sail Welcomes Back WWE NXT for Homecoming Special Episode
WWE NXT is officially heading back to its roots with the upcoming NXT Homecoming special on Tuesday, September 16, airing live from Full Sail University in Winter Park, Florida. The event was confirmed during last week’s episode of NXT, with WWE announcing that the historic venue will host the black-and-gold brand for the first time since 2020.
The special episode will feature current and former NXT stars, with big matches and appearances already locked in, including Rhea Ripley, Tiffany Stratton and Stephanie Vaquer. NXT homecoming is quickly shaping up to be one of the most memorable episodes of the year.
NXT Homecoming 2025 Match Card
The lineup already boasts several standout matches, including Tyler Breeze stepping back into the NXT ring to challenge Ethan Page for the North American Championship. Breeze made his surprise return during last night's episode of NXT. Also set for the night, Carmelo Hayes will reunite with Trick Williams to face DIY’s Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa.
What Else to Expect at NXT Homecoming
Main roster stars are set to bring extra firepower to the special. WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton will team with Rhea Ripley and Stephanie Vaquer against Fatal Influence in a six-woman tag match. Meanwhile, Grayson Waller returns with The Grayson Waller Effect, hosting NXT Champion Oba Femi and challenger Ricky Saints ahead of their clash.
Given NXT’s history of big moments and comebacks, there’s always the chance of a shocking appearance or a return from someone fans have been buzzing about, such as the speculation around an Ilja Dragunov return. We'll find out next week!
