Travis Scott hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since WrestleMania 41, and now Paul Heyman is offering some insight into why. While Scott made headlines for helping John Cena beat Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed Universal Championship, his post-show absence, along with The Rock’s, has left fans wondering if something went sideways.

Speaking on The Ariel Helwani Show, Heyman confirmed there was a creative payoff planned involving Cena, Scott, and The Rock — but it “fell apart,” Heyman said. “And we moved forward without it.” He noted that while he got along with Scott personally, he’d heard there were internal issues involving the rapper.

As for The Rock, Heyman kept it simple: he was never officially booked or advertised for WrestleMania 41. Heyman also made it clear he was too deep in the Reigns–Rollins–Punk storyline to worry about what was happening with Cena and Rhodes.

Why Was Travis Scott in WWE

Travis Scott’s involvement in WWE wasn’t random. He first got involved at Elimination Chamber to back John Cena’s heel turn and align himself with The Final Boss — a move that set the stage for WrestleMania 41, where Cena dethroned Cody Rhodes, becoming a record-setting 17-time Champion. At the time, the pairing made sense in TKO's eyes: Cena’s turn needed outside star power, and Scott’s pop culture status fit the part.

But after the match, nothing. No follow-up. No appearance on Raw. No backstage segments. And now, with Heyman confirming that creative plans were dropped, fans are left wondering whether this was a one-off cameo or if there’s still a longer story WWE hasn’t told. Either way, Travis Scott, whether you love him or hate him, will forever be apart of one of the biggest heel turns in pro wrestling history.
