Update on WWE’s Austin Theory
Austin Theory has reportedly been removed from WWE’s internal active roster, sparking speculation about his immediate future with the company. The former United States Champion hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since a July 19 Main Event taping, where he suffered a loss to El Grande Americano, while former tag team partner Grayson Waller has pivoted into a new feud with The New Day.
According to reports from Fightful Select, Theory is not fully off the roster but has been shifted to the same internal category as injured talent like Zoey Stark and Ilja Dragunov. This categorization suggests that while he isn’t medically cleared to compete, he remains in the company’s plans.
Austin Theory Injury
Although no specific details about Theory’s injury have been confirmed publicly, Waller did briefly acknowledge the situation on RAW, stating that his tag partner was hurt. WWE has yet to officially comment on the nature or severity of the injury, and it remains unclear how long Theory will be out of action.
Theory’s recent run alongside Grayson Waller as A-Town Down Under peaked with their WrestleMania XL victory, where they captured the WWE Tag Team Championships in a high-stakes Six-Pack Ladder Match. But their momentum faded following a title loss to #DIY, and with Waller now aligned with The New Day on Raw, the duo's partnership has quietly come to an end.
