WWE’s Grandest Stage Leaving North America For The First Time
Reports are circulating that WrestleMania 43 may be heading to Saudi Arabia in 2027, marking the first time WWE’s grandest stage would take place outside of North America. The rumor gained traction after Saudi adviser Turki Alalshikh appeared to announce the move during a live Snapchat session.
“WrestleMania has been announced, for the first time outside of America, WrestleMania in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 2027.”
According to PWInsider, a press release in Arabic confirming the news was briefly sent out before being pulled, but insiders stress the story is “100% legitimate” with an official announcement expected soon. This comes on the heels of WWE confirming that the Royal Rumble will be held in Riyadh this coming January, starting with a Road to Royal Rumble European Tour in January.
WrestleMania 42 is already set to return to Las Vegas next April, and ticket prices are at all-time highs despite criticism over pricing, raising questions about how much fans will need to pay when WrestleMania eventually heads overseas. Read our breakdown on WrestleMania 42 ticket sales here.
If finalized, WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia would mark a historic milestone for WWE’s global expansion. While fans have long speculated about a “Super WrestleMania” outside the U.S., this would make it official.
