WWE’s Special Announcement Brings WrestleMania Overseas For The First Time
WWE made history today by officially confirming that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027, marking the first time the event will be held outside North America in its 40-year history. The announcement came less than 24 hours after Triple H teased fans about a major reveal, and just days after speculation began swirling when a leaked post rumored that Saudi Arabia would be the frontrunner.
The announcement marks a major milestone for WWE’s global expansion efforts. Riyadh Season, in partnership with WWE and the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), will present WrestleMania 43 in 2027 as part of the Kingdom’s growing portfolio of world-class events.
WWE’s Special Announcement With Turki Alalshikh
During the reveal, HE Turki Alalshikh expressed his excitement for the historic collaboration, stating that Riyadh Season’s vision is to deliver a WrestleMania unlike anything fans have ever experienced. WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H echoed that sentiment, praising Saudi Arabia as a “phenomenal partner” and promising to elevate the WrestleMania experience to new heights.
The partnership continues to expand WWE’s reach, with the 39th annual Royal Rumble set for Riyadh this January, streaming worldwide on Netflix and airing on ESPN platforms in the U.S. as part of WWE’s recently signed $1.6 billion streaming deal with ESPN.
WrestleMania 43 promises to be more than just a two-night spectacle. The week-long celebration will include Friday Night SmackDown, Monday Night Raw, NXT events, and fan-focused community outreach. With fans from over 60 countries traditionally attending WrestleMania, the global spotlight on Saudi Arabia in 2027 will be massive, and could set new records following the unprecedented success of WrestleMania 41 & 42 in Las Vegas.
